Iligan Blasts

Two Iligan department stores are hit by bombings leaving three persons dead and 47 injured.

The first blast was in Unicity. The second bomb exploded at the JBC Bargain Center.

Two cellphone-activated mortars were used.

One of the fatalities was identified as Erwin Suico.

The Iligan police chief said the bombs were placed either in bags or packages which are then deposited at the baggage counters of the two department stores.

Unicity and JBC Bargain Center are located on Aguinaldo Street in Iligan City’s commercial district.

No group has claimed responsibility for the two blasts.
